  • Plenty of hard standing for all vehicles

Local Area

There are many attractions to experience in the valley of the Lune River. A popular salmon river with fishing clubs, often visited by otters, kingfishers, herons, many species of ducks and geese, in fact a multitude of varied wild life.

Our local mountains, The Three Peaks–Ingleborough, Pen-y-ghent and Whernside are challenges for walkers and runners, all with stunning views on clear days. Bank Holidays will give you the opportunity to be lowered down the famous Gaping Gill, 330 feet into the dark depths of a voluminous limestone cavern; for the brave only.

Explore the Silverdale, Arnside, Redmayne area quiet lanes, plenty of interesting footpaths plus the Leighton Moss Nature Reserve only 10 miles from Whitmore. The villages of Wray and Claughton offer nearby pubs and restaurants.

We look forward to welcoming you at Whitmore!
